Khalid Jhugroo made good use of his considerable open water experience to record a comfortable victory in the men's 17-24yrs event at the ASA Open Water National Age Group Championships. The Tyldesley swimmer completed the 2000 m course at Holme Pierrepont, Nottinghamshire in 24min 29sec - more than half a minute ahead of his nearest challenger, John Wood of Berkhampstead Barracudas, who recorded a time of 25min 2sec.
