To join Tyldesley Swimming
and Water Polo Club download and complete the attached Membership Form then either e-mail it to us or drop it in at Tyldesley
Pool during a club session. The people on the desk in the foyer should be able to answer any questions that you may have about
the club.
Non-swimmers will be added
to the waiting list and you will be contacted once a place is available. If in the meantime your child learns to swim one
length (25 metres) on his/her front and one length on his/her back contact us and we will arrange for your child to come for
an assessment (see below).
Swimmers will be contacted
by either the Head of Teaching or the Membership Secretary to come for an assessment. Children are placed in a section according
to their ability (see Swimming Page).
Those wishing to join the water
polo section will be contacted by the Junior Water Polo Head Coach to come for a trial session. Prospective water polo players
are allowed to attend two water polo sessions as temporary members before joining the club as full members. Water polo is
a contact sport and prospective players should be competent swimmers.
Anyone wishing to join the
Senior Water Polo Team will be contacted by the Senior Water Polo Coach.
Notes:
1. The membership fee covers
both Swimming and Water Polo sections.
2. Tyldesley SWPC is the only
club in the Wigan
area that has a Water Polo section. Swimmers from other local swimming clubs are welcome to join Tyldesley as a Water Polo
player and continue to swim for their swimming club (subject to Management Committee approval).
